Executive Director of Education & Workforce

Kate leads the Chamber's efforts to build an inclusive industry-education ecosystem, working to establish and strengthen relationships with and between businesses, educators, students and community organizations. With these partners, Kate guides multi-generational career exploration programming and education pathway development and supports expansion of work-based learning opportunities in manufacturing, IT, healthcare, construction trades and other high-demand career opportunities in the South Bend Region. She led the design and launch of the Intern South Bend Region and Summer Connect program in 2014.

She serves on the Indiana Chamber’s Institute for Workforce Excellence Advisory Council, the Indiana Talent Network guiding team, as a board member for St. Margaret’s House, and joined the South Bend Community School Corporation’s Board of Trustees in January 2023. In addition, she was an active member in the 2021-22 cohort of Harbor Freight Leadership Lab; co-founder of Ready to Grow St. Joe; completed the ACCE Fellowship for Education Attainment; and regularly participates in working groups focused on connecting people to pathways and building their skills to meet personal goals and workforce needs.
